WHO WE ARE
We’re an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) Christian ministry that scripturally proclaims and defends the gospel of Jesus Christ. We focus our efforts solely on the biblical Jesus and his teachings, not on false Christs or manmade doctrines (Isaiah 29:13; Matthew 15:9; 24:24; 2 Corinthians 11:4).
WHAT WE DO
Besides serving Christians, Global Christian Outreach extends its efforts to Mormons. They claim exclusive membership in “the only true and living church upon the face of the whole earth” (Doctrine and Covenants 1:30). But Mormonism is not Christ's church. In fact, when measured against biblical standards, it's not even Christian.
Sound harsh? Hateful? Intolerant? Not when viewing Mormonism through the lens of the Bible. Sad to say, Mormon leaders are among the impostors that in our day will “proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived” (2 Timothy 3:13). Fortunately, Global Christian Outreach strengthens the faith of Christians worldwide and helps Mormons receive the biblical Jesus.
WHY WE SERVE
Our relentless efforts result from our love for Christ and our fellow men (Matthew 22:34–40; Mark 7:7, 8). “Speaking the truth in love” (Ephesians 4:15), we assist other Christians and highlight some of Mormonism's many pitfalls. We help Christ’s true followers fortify their biblically based faith in him.
So naturally, we agree completely with Paul. “For the love of Christ controls us,” the apostle wrote, “having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf. Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer” (2 Corinthians 5:14–16).
We also suggest how Christians can share the gospel of grace with Mormons. A major dimension of Global Christian Outreach is to Mormons themselves. We want them to receive eternal life, which the Bible says is a gift from God, not a result of human merit (Romans 5:15, 16, 18; Galatians 2:16; 3:1–14).
WHERE WE GET AUTHORITY
GCO’s mission is to serve Christ. We praise him as God (1 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 1:8), as King of Kings (1 Timothy 6:15) and as Lord of all (Acts 10:36; Romans 10:12). We teach his sovereign declarations.
That’s our authority. Like all Christians whose beliefs are based exclusively on the Bible, we’re part of “a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 2:5, 9; Revelation 1:6; 20:6).
BIBLE TRANSLATIONS USED
Global Christian Outreach stands firmly on God's eternal word (Isaiah 40:8; 1 Peter 1:25), and we believe the Bible contains all scripture that has been revealed. Go ahead, examine Joseph Smith, his successors and Mormon experiences. You’ll discover how confusing “personal revelation,” a “burning in the bosom” and “personal testimony” can be.
God lovingly guides and directs his people. They fellowship in the church, which is the body of Christ
God guides and directs his people. They fellowship in the church, which is the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:13, 14, 27). Indeed, the Almighty works in all aspects of our lives. But contrary to Mormon doctrine, he reveals scripture only through the Bible. The Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price are counterfeits.
Global Christian Outreach uses several excellent Bible translations. These include the English Standard Version (ESV), updated New American Standard Bible (NASB), New International Version (NIV) and the New King James Version (NKJV). Except where noted, GCO cites the updated NASB.
